Windows Customization Apps?

Hey, I'm new to windows phones and I'm wondering the possibilities of customizing my home screen. I would like to know any apps you guys recommend for customization, and if I'm able to have each tile have it's own color such as store being blue and others red or changing the color of games.

I tried it but it's just for the looks, I don't find it useful at all, but maybe I haven't been using it correctly.

I make mine into a news reader. Follow newspapers on Twitter, RSS, pin tour feeds and even IE pages to start screen for headlines.
