Windows Marketplace ranking

I am getting ready to submit my first app to the marketplace for all Wnidows Phones. The one thing I have not seen a lot of information on, is how the Marketplace sorts apps as a result of searches. I've looked at a lot of different app types in the Marketplace, and sometimes I find some really good quality apps buried in the middle or sometimes at the bottom of the list. Is there a way to mitigate being listed near the bottom or is it just random?

It is a mixture of various factors like the Keywords you include while submitting apps, ratings for your app, installs made etc... Actually no one knows exactly how it works but we can see some patterns.

My app is in the top 25 on the best rated page but is not in the top free apps page which has utter garbage sometimes. So I fully do not comprehend what's going on there
