Windows OS doesn't automatically install Windows Phone driver.. :)

Thought this was pretty funny, WP8 was advertised that your PC can see the phone no problem, like a USB drive.. But in my case, it didn't, i had to manually install a driver from Microsofts website, which was such a pain and in the end it didn't wanna download the driver, had to ask a friend of mine to download it..
This sucks when you go to someone else's house and want to share/copy something with your friends, they won't be bothered downloading the driver and stuff...
Is this a common issue or just on my model?

Its your windows settings. If you have auto update or auto download drivers turned off then it wont work. You need to have it on auto install to work.
