Windows Phone 8 woes

In need of urgent help; my device (Nokia Lumia 1020) has all of sudden deleted all of my contacts and I cannot get them back?!?!

Never had much of a problem with WP8 besides but this is quite annoying as I cannot recognise phone calls, texts etc. All I have is my Skype contacts!

Help please. In distress haha

Were they on your SIM? If so take turn the phone off take the SIM in and out a few times and try to re sink.

Did you back up your contacts? Did you try a soft-reset?

Did you make sure that they are really deleted and not just filtered? Go to the People hub tile, click on ... at the bottom and click Settings. Then click on Filter my Contact List. Make sure the right accounts are enabled.
