Windows Phone app designs

To cut the long story short, here's the thing: Why devs are more interested in making apps that looks like something from iOS/Android and just slapped Segoe WP and the WP App bar that doesn't do anything interesting and the dreaded 3 lines.

What happened to the good old panorama UI, pivot controls, etc. Are they too lazy to redo the design or just want to **** us off and switch to iOS/Android.
