wireless adapter quits

For the last several weeks, when I turn on my computer after sleep/hibernate, and often even after a shutdown, it couldn't connect to any wireless network, even though they all showed up. I had to restart the computer every time, sometimes twice. Now in the past couple weeks (maybe since the updates? not sure), the wireless adapter just completely stops working when I turn on the computer. It can't even find any networks. I've tried turning the wireless off and on, but it takes 1 to 2 restarts, and then it works just fine, which tells me the adapter itself works. Any ideas what's going on? In my research, I read about the power management for the adapter, but even changing it to keep it on in sleep, it didn't fix anything.

Have you tried updating/rolling back the firmware for your wireless adapter?

I did that this evening, so I'll see over the next few days if that takes care of it. Thanks.
