Wood...

I think it would get badly scratched and look awful. I wouldn't want to need to wax or polish my phone!

I think it would look good with a few scratches. I may be odd, but I like to see worn in wood. Few dents and scratches are good.

I love wood cases, because I can switch them out. I love my Elements Ronin case.

All that being said, I wouldn't want my phone being actually wood.

I think it looks kind of cool. It reminds me of nice wood grips on the sides of 1911s (pistols). I think they look good. But like Laura, I'm not sure I'd like a wooden back. It would have to be reliable and trouble free. I too do not want to need to do some time of maintenance to keep the battery plate of my cellphone looking good or sealing properly.

There is actually a market for high end "distressed" wood furniture. I have a friend who has a wood shop. He says it can be difficult to take a beautiful high quality piece of furniture and beat it up, but if that's what the customer wants...

Used wood is sweet. In fact, all wood is good. Far more character than a polycarbonate phone shell. To me, worn wood is great. Would I trust them with the heat though? I am sure that this is the big issue, as mine can get very hot. Also, may not help with QI charging.

Hey i liked the wooden case as its giving a professional look and if we talk about the scratches then it can occur in other covers also. No cover is a life long product.
