Got the new surface book i7 256gb, big difference between the i5 no GPU, this feels so much faster and smooth AAA++++ lol, this is an upgrade from a Macbook now

Don't suppose you would care to post your thoughts etc after a few days of use?,

I'm sure it would he helpful for others looking to purchase the surface book.

^^ I already had the surface book I5 no gpu for about a 14 days, but didn't feel so good about it, I think than the Surface Book I5 No gpu would be a great comparison to the Macbook Air and the I5 and I7 with gpu are more of a Macbook Pro comparison.

If anyone got a surface book without any defect you are really lucky, this is my third surface book (and the first i7).

The first than I buy had a dead pixel, microsoft send me a replacement it was a new one.

And this i7 had a defect in the backspace key, (a very small part without the paint, like a dent).

I'm on my third unit also, all i5 dGPU. The first two had imperfections on the chassis, like a raised dimple or discoloration. The one I am on now has small paint chips on the bottom right corner of the clipboard portion. I will exchange it again once my store gets a whole new shipment, which should be soon.

I had the i5 / with DGPU but didn't see any speed difference between the one I am using now the base i5/128 with no GPU. I didn't think the i7 would be worth it since its not quad core.

Yeah, I don't see the comparison with the I5/128gb/8ram to a Macbook air at all sane. The i5 is seriously fast and this battery life is great. Probably the only person in the UK with one too!
