Is this a new trend to release all apps in beta?? Today when I was scrolling down through my app list its full of beta.Facebook beta, Instagram beta, Cortana beta, live lock screen beta, bbm beta etc ..vlc beta is coming soon.I wont have problm with these app in beta if they moves to final version soon but Apps like Instagram beta proves something else..Seems like these betas will be eternal in WP..

Wrong order... alpha comes first. Alpha software is even less complete than beta and usually has more bugs/stability issues - beta stage is when it's in a functional state and can be tested externally. Final release software doesn't have an alpha or beta tag.

As long as a software is developed there will be always a beta. If such beta should reach the public is a matter of philosophy. The question is : why did you install them ?

I don't think Instagram beta is continuosly developed? How many updates are there after it is released? On the other hand facebook beta gives regular updates..What I tried to say u cannot keep the app beta for so long when you release it in public and when the platform is growing..It will give negative feedback to the new users

Google does it all the time. Gmail was in "beta" for years.

Google has a Chrome beta that they try new features out on, but they also have a regular stable release version that everyone else uses. Gmail was in beta a long time ago when it was first released. I don't think the statement "Google does this all the time" is accurate.

Every product Google put out was in beta for prolonged period. Maps, Earth, Gmail, Reader, Wave, Buzz, iGoogle, Apps, Wallet, on and on.

The difference with Google and Microsoft is one is much more successful in the phone market. I agree, enough is enough with instagram. No updates at all. Same complaints for a LONG time. If its no longer being developed, pull the app or the Beta tag.
