WP/Windows music app with playlist syncing

Xbox Music has just about driven me mad with its wacky way of marking some files in my synced playlists as online only so I'm looking at alternatives to play and sync my music. I looked at Plex and Emby but they both seem to be mainly streaming and don't see my local music collection so does anyone have any recommendation for a music app that works across Windows and WP that syncs playlists? Thanks.
