WP8 keyboard and i (UK owners)

Does anyone know of a setting that will make the WP8 keyboard autocorrect the word "i" to uppercase in the middle of a sentence? It works on the US English keyboard but not the UK English one.

I can't think of an instance where you would expect it to be lowercase in English, apart from a Roman numeral list, and that would rarely be in the middle of a sentence

Other platforms (who shall remain nameless because this isn't the school playground) autocorrect it, and I know at least three other people really quite annoyed by it.

I am hoping I am just missing a setting - has anyone else found a solution?

Nope. I've never found a way of doing that. I always either ignore it, or tap on the 'i' afterwards and use the suggestion bar to correct it.

No there's no option I've found so far. It's annoying especially considering it worked fine in WP7.
