WPC App for wp should have filter option so that I can see only windows phone related news and filter out windows 8 and XBox related news which is irrelevant for me.

Could (possibly) be simple...allow you to 'exclude' certain Tags in the app... But the time to toggle the filter would probably take you longer than the finger swipe that is needed to skip 1 of every 20 articles, haha.
