I have been having a lot of fun making Glance screens of all of my favorite things. This is my coffee lover Glance screen.

I zoomed in, offset it to one side, with no further enhancements.

Oops, sorry for the sideways image. I took it with my non-Nokia digital camera. It made the image brighter than it really is...and lopsided. :(

Supermann!!

It is dark. With my old digital camera my images came out much brighter than it really is. Other are probably brightening the images with a photo editor so you can see it better.

I've made a set of a lockscreen and glance background.

That is my Glance background, and when i tap it twice it changes miraculously into my full colour lockscreen.

For the Glance backgroung i have set the slider halfway and turned it into a b/w picture to make the contrast between the two screens bigger.

Hope you like them.
Oh yeah, this is what it looks like on my Lumia.

After looking through all 20 pages of awesome backgrounds I decided to try it for myself...but when I choose a picture from my album it makes it all pixelated and really dim instead of bright and smooth. I've tried colored, black and white, and adding filters in the glance app. Any suggestions?

Some images seem to work better than others. For the five or six that I made that I am happy with, I went through a dozen others that I scrapped that simply didn't look good. High contrast images seem to work better. Also, the images will be very dim in reality. The photos just make them appear brighter/sharper than they really are.

Hey Guys,
Here is my Glance Background image. Being a craft beer lover, I took one of my many beer pics and did a few effects to bring it to black and white, and make it Glance worthy. Attached you will find the original pic, the modified image, and the end result using my brothers 920 for a second cam. I first used PhotoFunia's Contrast Black and White first to remove the color. I then used Photo Editor by Aviary to add the Metropolis effect, and then reduced the brightness as low as it can go two or three times by saving and going back in to reduce it further. I then took the pick into Glance Photo and turned the black and white on there as well and reduced the brightness to pixelate the photo to the point that you see in the final result. Took a few tries to get the effect I wanted, but I love the end result, hope you do too! Enjoy! Aviary Photo_130260772523368281.jpgWP_20131012_011.jpgWP_20131012_024.jpgWP_20130822_025.jpg
