wpcentral notification issue

this is a different issue then what i saw in forum so far...
i configured in app setting for live tile and toast notification, even though my wpcentral app update new feed only when i open the app hence I'm unable to get the notification or the automatic live tile update(unless i open the app) . wpc is allowed in background in my phone. so no issues with that.. any idea what's the problem might be

I have and I'm having the same issue, changed a few settings and waiting for a new story to pop up (changed the face of the tile from the Flip Tile to the Iconic One). I'm playing a waiting game currently, but it started with the latest update.

working now..did a soft reset+reinstall.
