Wrong date/time

Hi guys and gals,

I have a Lumia 521 that I'm using only on WiFi (it has no sim card), but I can't get it to show the correct date and time. I have it set to automatically set the date and time but it never does. Maybe it needs a cellular network for that? Why would that be? My Windows RT tablet is able to sync time over the internet.

I have tried manually setting my time, but it drifts by about a minute a day so within a couple of days it's running fast.

Any ideas?

It does require a SIM card to automatically set the time unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply. Is there another way to keep the time synced? Could someone recommend an app perhaps?

I think luk3ja is right- unlike Windows the phone only syncs time with the cell network. I have an old Windows Mobile device that hasn't had a SIM card for years and I just have to adjust it every once in a while.

I just got this phone and I cannot get it to set the time or update. I am using the cell network.
