Yellow Tint Bug?

Same issues here. SP4 i5/8GB/256GB model.

However after installing the latest fw and updates, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

I had this problem yesterday, with more than just the tinting -- screen blanking completely, screen shake. It went away completely, I'm not sure why. System is completely updated, but that was the first thing I did, so that's not it. It also wasn't turning the auto-brightness off.

Now, it's come back. Completely. It's totally reproducible: anytime a video or animated gif scrolls into view, screen hue changes. What's worse is that I now also have intermittent screen blanking outside of Edge. I've had it happen on the log-in screen and on an empty desktop. The tinting issue is clearly a software issue: it's so predictable. My money is on the graphics driver: brand-new chip and all that. But the random blanking concerns me much more.

I've had issues with the device going completely blank in addition to the issues I listed earlier in this thread. The video driver crashed once and reported that it was an Intel HD Windows 8 driver version. I would have thought Microsoft would have had Intel create a Windows 10 specific driver for this release.

I'm using an Intel Core i5 / 256GB / 8GB spec SP4 ---- I'm curious to hear what SP4 device you all are using?

Same, but 512gb. All updates installed, rebooted, etc.. Only happens in edge so far. Facebook.com makes it 100% reproducible.

I've been having the visual bugs too. The tinting bug seems to appear every time there is moving content, such as gifs or videos. Has anyone else also had an issue where the entire screen image jitters back and forth? I'd post a link, but I can't yet because I don't have enough points...

Yup. Screen shake and blanking. Occasionally, if you play a video in Edge, the graphics driver will crash.

So far all Core i5 versions ---- I wonder if it's an issue with the Intel HD graphics 520 driver? I have Windows 10 on two other devices at home and Edge doesn't experience any of this. My girlfriend also has the same Core i5 model and the same happens on hers. Turning off auto-brightness appeared to fix it, but it came back maybe 20 minutes later.

this is with out question intel has not provided a windows 10 display driver, the same display crashes in edge would happen to the surface 3 on win 10 before intel issued the correct driver for it.

Yes and the display driver keeps crashing. My screen got stuck in portrait, the speakers pop when I use the onscreen key ( not all the time), and after being on the charger all night it was warm like it never shutdown, but the screen was off.

Waiting on a patch for these issues or back it goes in two weeks.

Also I think this is an Edge issue. I've tried the desk top browser and chrome and no issues.

I also have the SP4 i5 256gb model and instantly saw these issues. I immediately went back to the Microsoft store to try to fix the issue and they said they've never seen that happen before and ended up opening two more boxes to try to get me a unit without the issue. I ended up leaving with the 3rd unit and figured the would be a software update sooner or later. I also have complete so I'm not too worried. I also feel much better that I'm not the only one having this issue. My screen turns greenish and blueish tints. It even looks like it could be a pinkish color as well. That's the only issue I'm having with the SP4 so far and I'm totally loving the device overall.

All the Edge graphic glitches and the graphic adapter that keeps crashing is from the HD 520 chip or drivers being used. I have the exact same thing on my HP Specter x360 Gen 2 with Skylake and my Surface Book. Only fix right now is to use IE or another browser until they fix it. Hope I save someone's sanity on this issue ;)

It's obviously a problem with intel drivers.

Intel needs to release an update asap!

I tried to a couple of days ago and it doesn't allow itself to install on the Surface Pro 4

Interesting..what happens exactly? Does the installer say not compatible with your machine, or does it fail for an unknown reason? If it's the former and you're ok working with windows device drivers, you could always try unpacking the installer and pointing the device manager graphics object to the inf files directly.

I'm going to try these links tonight. Some are reporting success with it.

Apparently, I can't post links yet ...
