Why you do not disable PIN code check ? (settings - applications - phone - SIM security - disable)... and you could try to disable Wi-Fi (settings - Wi-Fi) and use it only when you really need it - it should prevent restarts ... and the best what you can do, update your firmware to 1232.5957.1308.0001 (rm-821 DE CV) - it should fix it ...

After upgraded to Portico, with 4G as the highest connection speed setup. The phone restarts randomly for 2 to 3 times a daily during daytime. Especially between 11am and 4pm.

However the reboot seems not to happen during weekend. Vodafone Australia doesn't have 4G (3.5 G is the highest speed). It'll still connect to 3.5G with 4G setup.

The random restart will not happen when 3G is set to highest connection speed instead.

My freezing problem appears to be down to wifi - when wifi is set to stay on when screen is off the phone (Lumia 820) will fail to come out of standby & needs a soft reset to revive itself. When on charge with wifi on it has also froze.
Turning wifi off & running just on mobile data the issue hasn't returned.

Edit - well it turned itself off again during the night and wifi was off and phone not on charge!
