YouTube channel touch scroll problems in Edge (Surface Book)
I've been making the transition from Chrome to Edge over the past few weeks on my Desktop. Unfortunately I've hit a snag on my new Surface Book --- when using the touch screen (tablet), I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to scroll through the YouTube side bar on the left.
Intuitively, I should just be able to drag my finger up or down anywhere in that sidebar window/frame. But this just continues to scroll the main window on the right.
Perhaps this is a problem with the YouTube site itself, but the touch scroll *works* in Chrome. It isn't 100% perfect, though - I first need to "hover" over an item within that sidebar (for example, one of my channel subscriptions), by pressing my finger on the word. This highlights the word, at which point it seems the tablet has gained focus of the sidebar list and I can freely drag my finger to scroll up or down.
I cannot do the same thing in Edge. When I press down the item is highlighted, but moving my finger continues to scroll the right hand window only, and the highlight goes away.
I'm a bit surprised I cannot find others having this same issue. Considering how often I use YouTube, and my long list of channel subscriptions, this prevents me from using Edge for all my browsing needs.
As an aside, my Surface Book's touchpad 2-finger scroll works just fine within the YouTube sidebar, even in Edge. I think this is just a problem (or specifically YouTube unfriendliness) with the way Edge handles tablet touches. IE10 has the same problem.
If anyone knows how to get around this issue, please let me know! Maybe I'm just doing something wrong here - I am completely new to tablets, after all.
