If your from India, 2G network sucks so bad that its not worth downloading a video. 3G is really awesome, however you have lesser usage limits than 2G and its a bit costlier.

The best thing to download content from Internet. Only thing is it will allow 3g only in BG downloads. If you stay in app only 2g is enough and UC browser has inbuilt batter saver while downloading the content

Have another app to download YouTube video in background use 2g network? I am from India.
I am so sad android has no problem to download in background but windows phone has many problems to download over bg and lockscreen limitations and no way to solve the problem.
