Youtube on Surface 2

Hey guys,

I hope this isn't covered in another thread already. I searched for this issue but didn't find anything.

Recently my youtube app of choice (Metrotube) stoped working on my Surface 2. Just referring to a device support link. The app itself works, meaning it doesn't crash, but it won't show any videos. Now I found that all of the youtube apps in the store seem to have this issue.

Please don't tell me Google somehow restricted Youtube for Windows RT! If so.....where was the ****storm?
Is there any Youtube app left working or is this not even a general issue?

It is an issue with the new YouTube API restrictions.

I would encourage you to try Tubecast or MyTube because the developers regularly update their apps to maintain compatibility with the new APIs and restrictions.
