My start menu is working fine, but I have an issue where at times I open it and the entire left side (everything that's not a tile) is blank, and the entire start menu background has changed from it's dark theme to crystal clear. I close it, reopen it, and everything is back to normal.
Also, at times, while the start menu is OPEN the list on the left will vanish and the background will turn crystal clear again.
I have reported this issue to Microsoft, and have also reported exactly how to duplicate it so they can get it fixed in an upcoming build.
What happens is this:
1. I have my desktop background set up for a slide show.
2. Every time the background changes, it messes up the start menu. Start menu works fine between changes.
Perhaps they'll get that fixed soon, but if you open up your start menu and see parts of it missing, just close it and re-open it.
