Hello,

I have a few USB keys I use to transfer data the old school way....

The USB keys work on my laptop, but not my desktop. When I plug them in - they are not recognized. No drive letter shows up.

I check device manager and I see and error like USB Disk 2.0 disk error.
I tried formatting the USB (fat32) again - same issue.
Rebooted W10 computer - same thing. Other USB connected items work fine.

Help?

Ok, my driver says this:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

The driver could not be loaded because a previous version of the driver is still in memory.

Now what? I have rebooted....disabled the device, re-enabled it?

Suggestions, please!

Thanks,

Mr.
