    Hello

I just got the HTC HD2 phone and I am debating whether I need a security software such as Trend Micro Mobile, Avast PDA, BullsGuard Mobile.

What do you all recommend? And what software do you recommend?

My worry is that my phone will become all slow and also I am worrying about the software blocking calls and/or messages and the likes.

    Thanks for the help

I would not be to worried about Viruses on your WinMo devices although it is possible I have never seen an outbreak targeted at mobile devices. This would be very rare however there was a game floating around with a virus that made your phone call overseas numbers randomly but you had to download the game. For me I just stick with trusted download sights and do not run any Antivirus software on my device.

you are probably already aware of the possibility of malicious software attacks on your computer. There are many different tools for protecting computers against malicious softwarethings like antivirus, antispyware, and firewall software. What you may not know is that similar software is available for your phone, too.
Your phone manufacturer or service provider may have provided security software on your phone. Contact them to find out if they have any security solutions available.

    Note
Be aware that any programs left running on your phone, like antivirus software, will reduce the memory available for other programs. On older phones, or phones with very limited memory, this may cause a noticeable decrease in the phones performance.

In my opinion, mobile antivirus software is unnecessary. :)
