I can confirm that you can indeed see your SMS history online... but it's either hidden on purpose, or else (and more likely), it's just build in a very $#!tty way.
Anyway, i was able to see it by changing my URL to this after navigating to the Messaging folder in Outlook.

https://blu002.mail.live.com/default.aspx?fid=b#3

Phone number redacted to protect the innocent, although you can atleast guess my city and country from the area code!

Can any one else confirms if this works for them?

Sweet! So may be that one time when I could see, it was due to some URL re-direct glitch? I did jump from Skydrive to Outlook using the top drop down. So it might have not redirected again? I will try changing URL and confirm!

Still not work for me :(

My outlook address is https://dub002.mail.live.com/default.aspx If I add the fid parameter I get the error "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now"
I'm trying to replicate the scenario, and I'm having difficulty doing it. But once there, I was able to scroll through the many different days of messages. It was a bit scary having all of it saved, but cool to be able to view it.
Another thing i noticed was that you could click on a message you sent out, and it would show the full details, but if you click on one that you received, it says something along the lines of "outlook cannot connect right now... "

I'll keep experimenting with it and see what I can come up with. Things to try if anyone else wants to join in:
  • Different browsers: Firefox/IE/Chrome
  • Javascript: on/off
  • Cookies: on/off
  • Advanced: Read the html source to look for hidden fields that can be manipulated etc...
I assure you, no hoax, genuinely saw it, and want to be able to get to it...

UPDATE: Got it again!

https://blu002.mail.live.com/default.aspx?n=1514662401&fid=b#page=3

??? again not sure why it works???

UPDATE 2
After paging a bit, here is the full url (not sure what all the stuff is, please don't try to hack my acct!):

IN a related note, it looks like there is a delay of between 10-15 minutes from getting/sending a message on your phone to having it backed up and visible online. Not too shabby!

I got it by clicking on the link in the post, then adding the page=3 part at the end in the window that the link opened.
The 'find all text message history' doesn't work though.

https://blu002.mail.live.com/default.aspx?fid=b#3 doesn't appear to work in Australia....I cannot view a thing. I'm desperate. Need to get my client sms messages and my replies onto their electronic files as a legal record of our communications. Cannot believe that Nokia and MS haven't woken up to the fact that smart phones are used for business. My Lumia 920 might as well be a Fysher Price music box.

didn't work for me initially..but after a few tries it worked.

Here's what I did.

I went to outlook.com, clicked the messaging history link and manually added page=3 after the given URL which is https://blu172.mail.live.com/?n=1787569406&fid=b#

I have been trying for the last week and a half and it hasn't worked for me once yet. When you kept trying did you just cut and paste over and over or refresh? Did you try at different times of day?

I have no clue what I did, but suddenly I had some unread messages under 'Quick View' which contained photos. Opening one of those messages, brought this sight upon my very eyes.
TXT.png

Is this the hidden feature we're so eagerly on the hunt for?

Well, If you're able to find any link or reasonable connection between adding a Gmail account as a 'send-receive' account, you have the answer.

In that case, it's a rather pesky workaround!
