Got my 920. Change app list view

On My 8X, the App list had tiles for the alphabet or just a straight list. With the alphabet tiles (similar to how your contacts are displayed). I was able to switch between the views, but can't remember how I did it. My 920 has just the straight list. How can I get the other list view (with the alphabet tiles) back?

I'm not exactly sure how to reply because I wondered this myself when I got my 920 after I switched from my 810. I may be wrong, but it might eventually set itself that way without you having to do anything. Mine showed like you're describing but then eventually displayed the alphabet with the apps list. Maybe someone else can answer this better (?).

I don't think you can switch between the two views. The alphabet view appears after X amount of apps are installed (not to sure on the number).

I would love to be proven wrong though.

Keep installing more apps and you will definitely find the alphabet tiles in the list.

Games count for it too. I think it is around 50.

Thanks everyone. I reinstalled a few apps I wasn't using anymore and that put me over, then I just uninstalled them. Kept the view I was looking for. So , it appears once you hit that number it becomes a permanent change.

You need to have 40 apps for the app list to sort by alpha.
