Facebook integrated chat problem

Hello everyone! I'm new here so please correct me if this is in the wrong place.

I'm having some weird issues with the integrated FB chat on my Lumia 920. I linked my Live adress book with FB and enabled the FB chat messages from the settings, but I'm still not reciving messages some people send me on FB to my phone. From other contacts messages come through just fine. I also noticed that the picture of the person, whose messages I don't recieve, didn't update to his FB profile pic when I linked my FB to my adress book. Is this some weird bug or has he somehow prevented windows phone integrated FB chat from his settings or something?

The FB chat does only show messages from people that are listed as "online" on facebook. That's why you cant see some of them. Its a common bug.
