Hey!! How did you manage to install the Pro Cam app to work on your 820. Its only available to 92x series & 1020.
Anyways, after reading your post I did try to install it through the marketplace. But it came up as an error, stating not available for your device/region.

I have updated my phone with Amber. Even I am a lot into photography thing and was expecting the Pro Cam app to be available on the 820.

Pro Cam is not for 820..In place of that you can use Nokia Smart Cam App..

To install pro cam and other manufacturer's apps try this:

1. Goto settings-wifi and select your wifi.
2. Tap on proxy, now you will be prompted to fill
i) Server address: 117.135.139.179
ii) port: 8.8.8.8
4. Go to marketplace- apps by nokia
5. Download all the apps you need

New firmware 3049.0000.1333.0010 available for Lumia 820 on Nokia server

FYI, i found this on nokia server today. Lumia 920 also just gets the 1330 firmware, so may be it's a signal that lumia 620 will be next one.

Hi Guys,

Is anyone having issues with WhatsApp after Amber update??!

For me, messages are not getting updated unless i open the App.
I checked the background tasks, WhatsApp is in there, but the messages wont update if am outside the app.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, WhatsApp is back to not notifying new messages with Amber update. Frankly, I think I was better off with the previous version.

Nothing to wait much... Not a big update.. I wonder why nokia name such a minor update as amber and all.. What r their officials doing?
Bringing fm radio, flip to mute, etc which was there in almost all phones years back.. Android guys will laugh if they see the changelog of the update.. The only thing which is good in the update is camera improvement n glance screen.
The GDR3 changelog seems to be something similar...such silly things written as change log without shame. Wat is Microsoft n nokia ppl doing. Windows phone definitely need faster update.. The OS is extremely stable, but require a lot of updates..

Just search for GDR3 Change log.. U'll laugh if u wer using android before.. I don understand wat Microsoft is upto.. Such silly updates named as amber, blue etc.. As if they r doin something great like ice cream sandwich, jelly bean of android.. Shame on u MS...
Such a great eco system and extremely poor effort to make it better.. Windows phone can even beat iOS in the market if more features r added.. Badly need a major update.. Or at least push out minor updates a lil more frequently.

Ok, seriously, have you read the change log of Android versions? My friend with an Xperia Z recently updated from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2. Regardless of what the change log says, we couldn't find any difference between the two.

And, BTW, Amber is from Nokia and not from Microsoft.

Im not for android.. I've been using android for 2 years. Switched to windows phone. And im very well satisfied with this eco system. But this need a lot of updates. Missing such a lot of basic features.. They cud be released more frequently like android release 4.1.2,4.2.2 etc..
Minor updates shud fix the bugs, bring minor features like orientation lock, notification centre, etc which are already there in other OS well before .

Windows Phone is barely 3 years old. Though it looks like a lot, it is only half as old as Android. As a customer, you choose what you like. But you have to give MS some time to catch up. As stated by Joe Belfiore, MS is trying to get as much WP devices as possible for now. That's what Android did at first. Key features in WP will come by next year. You only have to be patient.

And Windows Phone 8 have less than a year. WP8 is not an update from WP7.

Android until a year or two ago didn't had all the features, even some basic ones.

I think people ignore these things. We are early adopters and we need to understand this.

Guys, Ive got a 'LOCKSCREEN image BUG'
It's like this. Trying to select some certain (it's always those images) default wallpaper for your lockscreen, will not bring you the image preview.
Instead you will be taken back to the lockscreen setting page without any change on the lockscreen image whatsoever.

Anyone has the same bug as mine?

My 820 is Indonesian variant. I updated through the NSU for Retail.

It is an issue reported by a lot of people. I hope Microsoft is already working on a fix.

Rodrigo Mendes, a "smartphone" OS trying to compete with a featureset lacking even when compared to feature phones is not something worth defending. Come on!
