Hi steve, this sounds like an MMS APN issue with one or both phones, this typically occurs when you take a phone from one provider to another provider, since i'm in the US i'm not sure what MMS APN you should be using, You might want to search the forums with the following tags, telus, MMS APN or you could contact your provider for the proper MMS APN # for there network, the settings can be found on your phones under cellular at the bottom of the page, sorry i couldnt be of more help to you
