The 920 had an AT&T variant also that supported LTE.

In fact most 920's in the U.S are the AT&T 920

I didn't know that! I'm relatively new to WP. Got the 920 cheap to play around with while still on Android and Blackberry. Got it off Ebay and it was the overseas version. It still worked well enough for me to get a good feel, which I obviously liked.

How many of you prefer the 920 or 925?

How many of you prefer the 830?

Which of these devices is the better buy here in 2015? ( PRICE ASIDE )

Just wanna hear what others think is the better device

War!!

920 any day. The lens is not as sharp as the 830, however the sensor is larger, and the OIS is superior. Besides imaging, the 920 has a faster CPU/GPU and is LEGENDARY!!

Additionally, has the same top notch speaker module seen in the Nokia N95/808, excellent display, better build quality, wireless charging, among others!

Not saying the L830 is bad (because its awesome), however, I'd prefer a flagship over a midranger xD

Not the fairest comparison IMO. The 920 was a bigger leap forward and a landmark device at the time. The 830 doesn't make that kind of impact in the mobile world but is a lot newer. In a strictly apples-to-apples comparison, the 830 wins. I own both.

Forgot to add, speakerphone is quite important to me and something I use almost exclusively. The 830's speakerphone quality (especially how others hear me) is unquestionably superior to my 920's. Another reason besides those mentioned in this thread why my 920 is collecting dust and I'm using the 830. Again, don't get me wrong, the 920 was fantastic for its time... but its time has passed.

I'm not an expert, but I like the display on the 830 better. Also, my 830 has wireless charging.

My brother has a lumia 925. Honestly, I prefer the 830. Screen size does make a huge difference. Also the lumia screen just looks nice due to clearback I assume. I think Lumia 830 is a great buy for those who aren't yet ready to go high end but want something to hold them off. The prices can be pretty decent depending where you get them. I got mine for 400$ and still think it was worth it. Plus I love my #tileart makes it look that much better hehe.

I don't even have a case around mine. I have dropped it a few times even straight on the screen on concrete and there's no scratches.

Either way if you want high end you don't have much options with Windows and you can wait.

As a 925 owner for over a year and three months, I'm in love with my phone. My next phone will be a 1520 or save up for the new 940 XL. As a customer of AT&T, sadly my only upgrade choice is a Lumia 830 however the only advantages that it has over my 925 are Lumia Camera 5.0, a 5" screen and motion data (since I'm into personal fitness) and micro SD card support.

But ATT hasn't updated Denim so you wouldn't get Lumia Camera 5

Personally the Lumia 925 was one of my most favourite phones. Prefer it to my Lumia 1020, 1520 and 930.

The Lumia 925 is just so sexy. Low light photography was amazing. Didn't really lag and was a great all round phone.

Never had a Lumia 830. Would probably have bought it if it was higher spec (SD 400???). The 830 is a good phone, but it is still a mid range phone. If I wanted a mid range phone, I would get a Lumia 640 xl.

One thing I noticed right away is the screen on my 830 is much easier to see in the sun.

That is because the display, digitizer, polarizer and glass are optically bonded. Less distance between glass and display. Moreover, the glass on the 830 is thinner.

Lower quality, but less glare.

Agree...
If the 925 had 32GB & wireless charging I would have got it instead of the 920.

I would prefer the 830 any day now. I have owned both and when it comes to daily experience the 830 feels a much better phone than the 92x

Honestly, if I were buying today I'd get the 830 without even thinking about it.

Having the 925 I couldn't justify the side grade, my battery life had always been enough with that phone and I don't use SD cards. Took the risk on a 930 and for now I'm pleased, but I still like the 925s design and size better.

This was a nice pose to read. I used to have the 920 for over a year before i sold it and got a 1020. Unfortunatly it was stolen last week. Now I am on a 520 for the time being. I'm wondering about getting a new 830 or finding a used 920 since I still have my wireless charger.
