Yesterday my laptop's E drive crashed making my laptop unusable. But I came to know you can recover it using with file recovery software although i came across only paid ones which right now I can't afford. Most of the files in my E drive were my company files which is rather important.

My crashed laptop was windows 7 and presently I'm using Windows 8.1.

Do let me know if there is any software so that I can get it done today itself.

    TIA

If your drive crashed and is unable to function, all bets are off and you'll need the big guns. (the professionals)
    (depends on whats wrong)

For undeleting files, my go-to tool as of now is Recuva. (from Piriform, of CCleaner fame)
but if the drive was physically damaged, you may want to cut your losses by going to professional data recovery services (and not risk further destruction)
