Around 4 months ago I upgraded from a Lumia 920 to Lumia 1520 ........... guys the phone is an outright monster. I was wanting to wait it out for the 930 , but the bigger battery life sold me to the 1520. And boy am I happy. It's the best of the best..... simply an awesome phone. Anybody waiting on the shore for an announcement of a flagship to upgrade, why wait .... upgrade now !. Lumia 1520 is an outstanding phone. The battery life is beyond anything you have ever seen with any smartphone ever. With my kinda usage I used to suck dry the battery of a 920 in 5 hours flat. The 1520 gives me around 20 hours and my life has changed completely, I used to spend half of my day looking for sockets or lugging battery packs.... all that has now changed. No matter what I do with my phone .... Voice, Games, Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G .... all together..... it still does not die before a 16 hour span. And I usually am home within 16 hours. Do remember that I am a super heavy user, with normal day to day voice & data usage you're looking at around 30 hours easily.

The display is awesome, so is the Camera.... although wifey own's a S5 and her camera shots look better upfront, but when you view the pics on a Computer the 20 Megapixel on 1520 shows its true strength. The screen size might look daunting to some at first but believe me a week later every other cellphone on the market will feel like a toy, especially the one famous with dumb-and-status-flaunting-I-know-nothing-about-technology kinda of people.

Go for it guys. Its a great phone..... next upgrade when Windows Threshold launches. Cheers!

Yes, the battery's that good. Just downloaded Opera Mini from the store, boy did I miss it. I'm reminiscing about Windows Mobile now but with LTE goodness.

Just upgraded to a 1520 a couple of days ago and boy, I don't regret it one bit...love it. I initially thought it would be too big to get until I held that bad boy in my hand. It felt like it was meant to be in there. Beast of a phone!

the only way i could kill the battery in one day was when i was sick and read used my kindle app ALL day and i still had like %12 when i went to bed

its only big to other people, once you've been using for a week everything else looks too small, i cant now use my wife's 920 as im forever trying to zoom into see stuff, i love my big (to other people) 1520 :)

Agreed, other than the fact I have Verizon through work and can't get the 1520. I'm desperately hoping an announcement of a 1525 or something on Verizon. I'll be their first customer. As for battery life, you don't even have to try a 1520 to know how good it is. My 928 has a 2,000mah battery vs the 3,400mah on the 1520. Plus a processor multiple times better at battery efficiency. Man PLEASE COME OUT WITH A FLAGSHIP PHONE ON VERIZON. PLEASE!!!

I have a 1520.3 and I like it a lot, but it is a bit cumbersome. You get used to the size, but that doesn't mean pocketability or one-handability improve. I would be all over a Lumia 930 with Glance (though I think display wise, 5.2"-5.5" is the sweet spot). I'm even considering a Lumia 830 as a replacement. Not just because of the size though... aesthetics are quite important to me and though the 1520 is very nice, the 830 and 930 are stunning to me, and a beautiful next iteration in the evolution of the Lumia design.

The other reason I'm considering replacing my 1520 is the infamous swipe/scroll/tap bug. It's improved, but it's definitely still there.

I'm ready to replace my 920. I like the 1520, but can't justify spending the money on a year old phone. The new Note Edge is intriguing. I hope that something is announced, or hinted at soon. I want to stay with windows, but they sure make it difficult.

Those who have 1520, I might suggest to wait for 1530. 830,930 aren't the upgrades of 1520, they are the upgrades of older phones with an older hardware. But still if someone is really having serious difficulty only then I suggest to change your phone otherwise not

I have the 1520 and it is a beast of a phone. It pretty much has all that you are looking for in a phone.

Only nitpick I have it's that measly 1.2mp front cam. Not good for selfie addicts hehe.

Maybe ugly people shouldn't have higher resolution FFCs. :-)

Just what he said... 82x and 92x users benefit from upgrading to 830 and 930 by getting in on Sensor Core. 1520 is already benefiting from Sensor Core and will continue to do so... Unless you are having screen touch issues, no need to abandon 1520 for 830 or 930... They offer nothing 1520 does not have.

930 has higher pixel per inch than 1520 (but at 1520's 367 ppi, it is hard to see the difference from any increase unless the screen is right up to your face). 930 has no Glance, 1520 does. 930 has no microSD slot, 1520 does. 1520 has a massive 3400 mAH battery and phenomenal battery life, 930 does not. In other aspects except screen size, 930 and 1520 are equal; same CPU/GPU/RAM/Internal Memory/Camera/Connectivity/Dolby Enhancement... 1520 has a more worldwide GSM compatibility with its 4 variants than 930 does.

Where is the benefit of moving off 1520 for either 830 or 930?

Of course any 5xx, 6xx or 7xx user gets a boost out of 830 and 930...
