How to add a pause in voicemail dialing

I see that the voicemail string can be changed on my Trophy, but don't see the typical comma available to add a pause. I'd like to be able to dial my voicemail, wait a few seconds, then have the pincode typed in so I don't have to keep putting in the pin #. Is there a way to do this?

to be honest we tried to do this a while back with out success.

try these commands.

# = pause
* = pause
p = pause(not caps)
P = Pause ( caps)
W = wait

When in dialpad, tap and hold period (.) for a couple seconds and an option for comma (,) will pop up.

yeah the (,) is also mentioned to work with PDA Motorola phones
forgot to add it :P might work with other PDA as well

Yeah took me a while to find the comma. LOL. I use it for long distance phone cards.

Thanks! I've tried one comma, which adds about 1 second, but adding more commas doesn't appear to do anything. I've added 4 commas so far. The code is still firing before the prompt...any thoughts?

well adding more then one should add more time.

a pause is actually 1-2 secs .

Im not sure what else to do :confused:

try adding a (-) or a (x) between your (,)

push and hold (.) to get the X

Yeah, it apparently doesn't work, for some reason. If I listen immediately after I dial, I hear the tones pressed after about 1 second. I've used 12 commas now and no change in pause length,

did you try adding the (X) between the Commas?

,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x

or

add a (-)
,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,

OR

try adding a SPACE by pushing the (space button) between commas

Unfortunately, the same result using x or - between the commas. They all actually get taken out in the voicemail number display...you don't see anything but the commas.

DAM! I was really hoping to figure this one out
we tried a few months back and ended up failing , :( lol

starting to think that WP simply does not support that feature! :confused:

This is sad - I found in another thread that you can go to Word or some other program, type in the number with p's instead of commas, then copy & paste into the phone field. I tried that, which actually will paste the string with "p's" and all, but it still acts exactly the same way - the pin # punches before the call connects! I tried several p's in the string. This may help someone with a different brand of phone, but for the Trophy this is truly frustrating!!!

The comma's (three in the case of the conference line I'm using) worked for me in Windows Phone 8. I did have to add the "#" sign at the end to actually make the conferencing system to pick up the fact that the pin had been entered - does your conferencing system require something like that after the pin?

The way it works, is to enter a comma. To find the comma, press and hold the dot/period button

I have a Nokia Lumia 1020. In the voice mail settings that your are specifying, enter the phone number as 312xxxXXXX,,pin#. The trick to getting the pauses between the number and the pin code is using the pause (there represented as commas on this device) feature. To get the "," to show up hold down the "." key until you see the ","'s.
