How do I map a network drive?

I have a WLAN set up with a USB stick set as shared storage on my router/switch. If I'm connected via Wi-Fi to this network on L521, how can I access/map a network drive? I don't see any sort of file management utility that will allow this type of sharing.

You'll have to look at your router documetation for this. I keep meaning to set up something like this on my DD-WRT router, using an external terrabyte hard drive that I no longer use for anything, but I keep not finding the time to figure it out.

I don't believe you can map network drives natively with WP8. At best, you'll need to download/purchase an app that has the ability to access network shares.

What type of files are you trying to access via your network?

Ah, yes, you are correct. When I answered I was thinking of Win8, not WP8. I had just looked at the Win8 forum and my brain apparently stayed there.

I know the feeling, particularly cause I usually just browse through the recent posts list on the WPC app or the Today's Post list on the website.
