Signal worse on 8.1?

I decided to install the DP on my 920, At home my signal isn't great anyway, 1-2 bars at best, but now nothing, I noticed even going through town tonight where I used to have full 4G I had 3 bars, and the areas where I had 3 bars I had nothing or 1 bar. Not impressed. Now in saying this my Mrs has the 625 on same network running cyan, she is getting the same as I used to get on W8 if not better.
