1020 focus issue

My new 1020 doesn't seem to focus on (especially) close-up objets ! Everytimes i tap on the subjects to focus (close-up / macro), the camera unable to lock the focus ! Is it normal for 1020 or manufacturing defect ? Hope you guys can help.....tqvm

It's completely normal, unfortunately. You have to take it from further away then zoom into the picture and crop it.

I did try 1020 at Nokia Store and their set seems to focus well on those close up subjects....thats y i m wondering whether is my set hav problem !

I'm about to ask the same question...my 1020 also cant focus when i tried to take a macro picture...i think this is the limitation of the camera..

As with all these threads I will give the same response.

THE 1020 CANNOT FOCUS ANY CLOSER THAN 15CM!!!! It is simply due to the lenses it uses, but with PureView you simply reframe the image and end up with a cropped version that is just as good as if you were right up in your subjects face.
