2/17/16 Hardware update live!

Sleep battery consumption does appear to be way better. I'm still having trouble with videos playback on Youtube shaking up my Edge browser like crazy.

Did a "Reset this PC" this morning and Windows Update successfully installed all 2/17/16 updates including system hardware upgrade.

My windows hello is broken after the sp4 update. Event viewer shows some error about biometrics.

update: Reboots didnt work so I rolled back updates all the way to december(my device is new). Installed a a cumulative update dated feb 9th and it works again. I'm not sure if I have the latest patch yet.

Sleep now works nicely, and my surface wakes up very fast, and Hello works even faster. Never had problems with it. Only problem is Edge freezing everything, which is now happening much less often than before this update. So happy!

Patch seems to be working well for me. Sleep drains very little battery, and no hot-bag incidents so far.

Thou the new updates broke my surface pro 4 ...now i have to force restart nearly every time..power button doent wake the pro 4 any fix for that...earlier it was working great

After I updated my SP4 with the latest update, the keyboard USB is no longer recognized. A pop up notification states this USB is no longer working. My keyboard stops working completely. I detach and reattach it. Nothing. I restart the system. Nothing. I shut it down. Nothing. I hold the power and volume + for 30 seconds. It fixes the issue. Few hours later, back at it. Keyboard stops working again.

The Bluetooth stops working as well. I am left with a device that is touch only.

These are NEW issues that occurred after the major update on 2/17/16.

I am still having the issue even after working with support. I am opening a ticket again, and I really hope they let me return and refund the device. For this much money, the device should be amazing.

I am still having issues after the update. Especially with the Surface not going to sleep when the cover is closed and just continually running.

You can avoid surface not waking from sleep by doing the following:
If it's charging when it goes to sleep, make sure it's also charging when it comes out from sleep
If it's not charging when it goes to sleep, make sure it's also not charging when it comes out from sleep

It sounds crazy but it works. I submitted it to WindowsCentral as a news tip but they don't seem interested.

Also - if the issue does occur, try shutting the keyboard and reopening. Then press power again. Or try connecting/disconnecting the power lead and pressing power again. It's much better not to hard reboot if possible, as this often results in corruption on the disk.

Battery drain back after yesterdays cumulative update? Drained at least 50% while folded on my couch for about 4 hours.
