Hello,

Red some topics about latest update on Denim [ 8.10.151148.160 ] and funky battery duration. I'm have the same experience, my question is :
Where to buy a new internal battery for the 830 ? aka Lumia 830 is discontinued in France.

Used to do once in a while aka a soft reset . The 830 is such a reliable device ;) :
What's the new command for a soft reset ... used to be doesn't t anymore - Volume Down + ON/OFF ?

Thank you !
Cheers

I have just bought a new battery for my 830 this week on amazon.de. There are still quite a few dealers there who sell them.

Thanks marratj ,
Nice to find the original battery and white back cover ! .... very pleased

Trying to find a battery for my L830 here in Canada too, resources seem very limited, either being way overpriced or, chances of ending up with a "used" one being very high, looked months ago with pretty much similar result so not impressed to say the least considering the phones age.

Hello,

I know but that's the only way to go "internal battery" . The positioning on the upper left side of the power plug makes it awkward to add an "external emergency battery" .

I'm back to my second question about soft reset.
My Lumia 830 is running Lumia Denim 8.10.151148.160 / ... what's the "buttons" combination now do initiate the soft reset ?

Merci beaucoup !

The soft reset sequence is activated with a simple simultaneous Power & Volume - (Volume Down) key press.

Believe me i've tried.
Anyway thanks I'll take the time for a hard reset even if not really needed [ got to get rid off 1Go "other" files]
FYI in over 11 months of use i've done once a hard reset and once a soft reset, that's a pretty cool device under 8.1 !

You might wanna bear in mind that you have to press the keys AND HOLD them down for a few seconds until the restart happens...

Yes, but to no avail.
I fell as dumb with my fingers as a cellist trying to play the piano ;)
