I am thinking about purchasing a DVP8. I currently own a Nokia 2520 which I really like but now want a smaller 8" tablet.
I only run metro apps, so I was wondering if 32gb will be enough.
I am also looking at the Lenovo miix. I have read and watched all the reviews. Having a tough time making a decision

I am not familiar with the DVP but if this device have a SD-Card slot you could buy the cheapest one and use a SD for extra storage

There are some issues with the digitizer at the moment, stick with either the Toshiba Encore 8 or the Miix 2

Nobody can really answer this question but you, but maybe this will help you decide... You can add an SD card, and there is a registry hack that will allow you to install apps on that card, but the price of using that expansion is that SD is FAR slower than the SSD that is in the PC.

Hope this helps at least a little.

I would think you would be OK with the 32 GB model, unless you start loading up big PC games and movies and stuff...

The only apps I run are ie11, Facebook, mail and metro tube since there is no office you tube player yet.
I have no use for the digitizer.
So as of today, what issues are still outstanding on the DVP8 besides the digitizer stuff?
Amazon has the DVP8 32gb for $279 or $313 for the 64gb version.
The Lenovo Miix2 32gb is $250

I would go for the 64 gig version. The hack that has been used in the past to install apps on the SD card no longer works with 8.1. I have heard that the stylus drivers released this weekend make the stylus much better. I do not have the stylus yet, so I don't know myself.

It is a great little tablet though

I'd go with the 64gb model. I have the 32gb, and I absolutely love it. My only issue is how fast the 32 gigs vanishes before you really realize it. I have had to become more and more watchful of my dwindling storage, and it would be nice to not have to worry about it as much with 64 gigs. But whichever you decide, the DV8P is a great little productive device.

I have owned my v8p for nearly a month and I have used nearly no storage. A few apps I've installed and that's it. It depends on what you plan to do with the tablet.

Just an FYI, the registry hack doesn't work on 8.1

Whichever you buy go for the 64gig. It is actually pretty amazing how fast you can go through the 32gigs. Remember that Windows, the recovery partition (which can be removed) and other data can leave a lot less than 32gigs out of the box.

This is what I mean when I say it depends on how you use the computer, and only you can really answer the question. Different people get different results, depending on what they're doing.
