4G speed toggle on 1320 with Cyan and DP 8.1.1 OS version 14203 (India)

Just happened to notice that the 4g option now shows in the mobile network settings. Previously I had only the 3g option as the max speed. This is on Lumia 1320 in India.

That sounds cool.... I thought to have the 4G option enabled for the India cv 1320, you had to flash a different firmware.

Yes this option is enabled after the latest dp update.

I'm not sure. I remember reading somewhere that the Indian telecom regulatory authority has chosen a frequency band that most 4G phones (including 1320) don't support... I don't know what made those turds do that but if that's the case, no 4G.. Besides, 4G network on a national level in India is still a far cry, considering the 3G coverage is yet to become stable.

But in any case, if this option is still there when 8.1.1 and Denim roll out...I'll be happy... At least having 4G appear in the settings gives you kind of a good feeling about buying a future proof device. And besides, 4G on 1320 would work just great in countries having supported frequencies.

I don't remember the source but you can check articles on windows central dated launch of Lumia 730 or Lumia conversations

Now its gone.. After final update for Denim, it is taken away from Lumia 1320 rm-994 and for this version of Lumia 1320 Rm-994 if you see, it has already 4g capabilities... But I donno why it is not available in India.
