640 users, how do you like your purchases??

Hmmm, you might want to check walmart. $99 is a good deal, plus the free office 365 subscription. I wonder if I return the 640, do I lose the subscription??? Hmmm.

I just got my Lumia 640 today. Switched to T-Mobile from Sprint and I have to say, it was totally worth it. Came from a Samsung ATIV S Neo, and after having several issues with it, its nice to finally have a Lumia in my hands. That being said, there are two initial issues I have with the 640. Firstly, is the back cover. T-Mobile only offered the white one, which I knew I wouldn't like. The back cover also makes the phone feel cheap. Secondly, the teensy speaker on the back is pathetic. Not only does it produce barely mediocre sound, notifications at level 7 or higher make the back case vibrate, interfering with the sound. All of that being said, I am happy with my purchase. Neither of my two complaints are serious enough for me to regret buying the 640.

Ya' know...It's only a hundred bucks...I can buy 6 of them for the cost of one S6...And I bought one...I'm loving it!

In what way does the "The back cover also makes the phone feel cheap"? I'm just curious.

I'm loving mine. I just wish replacement back covers could be easily found. I bought a nice looking blue one off amazon but it's defective. The buttons are flush with the case and don't work. I took the buttons out of the white one which came with the phone and tried using them but again, they were flush.

I'm very happy with my purchase. Performance is similar to my 925, but battery life is so much better. And having the SD slot it a nice addition as well. Hands down the best phone you can get for $100.

Does the lumia 640 come with earbuds? I'm planning on getting the metro pcs version,

If not, are the any recommended (fairly cheap) headphones that are suggested for lumia phones?

This is for a first time windows phone user, so I'm just doing some research!

no they do not come with headphones, i bought the metropcs version two weeks ago. i am using a 9.99 pair of sony earbuds and have no problems

the phone is amazing!!!!!! i can not come up with one thing i don't like about it, again everyone is different, but i have no app gap issues (coming from android) and the phone is very reliable!

Thanks. And that was the price point I was looking at if I had to get headphones on my own, so that's what I'll do.

Did metro pcs have cases? I'm leaning toward just getting the official flip cases, but it looks like I'll have to order it because it seems like there aren't alot of cases in retail stores, but I still plan on seeing what best buy, etc. have.

I've been using a Nokia 735 which is a great phone. However, I went ahead and purchased a two week old 640 for $60 off EBay. It's a Metro PCS phone and I had to get it unlocked. It is a great phone. I'm getting LTE signal pretty much all of the time. When the phone drops LTE I'm receiving 4G. It seems faster than my 735. Very pleased right now. I'm using the 640 now as my primary phone.

24+hrs on a single charge and every app I use for $100.00... What's not to like?

Another reason to love the 640.

Lumia 640 LTE and 640 XL LTE are launched as Voice over LTE (VoLTE) ready. It means your phone has VoLTE capabilities hardware wise, but there is yet no software support. Future support will depend on your operator?s upcoming OTA updates.

Re: Lumia 640 Impressions

I'm not a "power" user, but for me it's really great. Camera is quick and smooth, runs watch espn very well, screen is large and clear. I like glance even though it may be somewhat restricted. Double tap is cool. I'm only 2 days in but very pleased! Phone's overall performance is way over its price point.

Re: Lumia 640 Impressions

I have had the 640 for about a month now, and I'm really pleased with it. The battery life is very good that I can use Mixradio for a hour and some, have a hour long phone call, and read books on it and still not be running for a charger. I'm only going to be running for a charger if the battery is already kind of low and I have done all of those things. Like etad said, I'm not a power user either. I rarely see the resuming screen, but I also rarely play games. The cameras are sufficient, and that includes the front camera. I think the back camera is pretty good though.

I'm absolutely satisfied. Only one thing is bad. If I put phone on a flat surface, speaker is very muted and ringing is very difficult to hear.

Just tried this. Agree. That is a design fault. Guess I'll lean it against something. Sound is good when not flat.
