70 Battery Use by Messaging+Skype?

70% Battery Use by Messaging+Skype

It's couple of days I noticed battery is drained during night when 950XL is in Quiet Hours mode and culprit is MESSAGING+SKYPE using more than 70% battery for no reason as nothing is used at night except these dumb apps in background. Any solution is found for this?:grincry:

Hi there,
Well I see that you have stated your own problem's solution.
Close them in the background and then try to see what happens.
If then is the same situation,feel free to reply back.

Problem is that since I purchased 950XL those apps were in that same condition in background at nights but not using greatest battery level.

You won't get sound of sms delivery, the tiles won't be updated etc.

Or you can do like this, try to disable Skype from your messaging app by logging out.
As mentioned by another fellow here, there is a chance you won't receive live tile updates if you close the background agent. So try the first option.

OK folks, glad to report that killing ******* Skype dropped battery usage substantially. What a useless app is Skype each time I try to send a simple sms it demand FUNDS as though I am ordering a cargo ship of merchandise from China:sweaty:

BAD NEWS:
Stupid SKYPE although signed out keeps signed in automatically then draining my battery. I am very disappointed by inability to totally removing useless SKYPE or curbing its unauthorized signing in.:crying:

Fortunately I succeeded to remove SKYPE from 950XL and I am waiting to see if MESSAGING+SKYPE will still drain battery. I need help to also remove stupid SKYPE FOR VIDEO :crying:

...and more miserable thing is that I cannot find a single 950XL battery on sale anywhere even MS Store. Cannot believe MS Store sells 950XL but not a single battery found throughout MS Stores.

Well for me edge is top as well but maybe we don't use messaging and Skype as much as they do..

But I thought the issue for messaging and skype was background use.. I do open it daily... though I don't really do a lot of messages on it... it's mostly IM+ and whatsapp for my messaging.
