A week now since purchasing the 950 xl. Has been a learning curve trying to get all contacts and other stuff lined up. Switched from android. love the phone but the thought to return has crossed a couple times. There is a few things i just cant find answers to. i have posted another question as well.

today i was at about 23% for battery. the saver kicks in below 10% but all the sudden the screen became quite darker. not as vivid as it has been every day. i plugged into charger, no change. i had to reboot the phone for the screen to go back to being vivid.

Any reason this happened? if i have to reboot frequently, its quite a hassle.

Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

My wife's phone did the same thing. If I recall, I went to screen brightness and moved the slider up and down and left it at 75% and auto, and that seemed to resolve the issue.

Others may want to know if you find a solution, so I urge you to follow up with your post.

The screen brightness adjusts to the environment brightness. Go to a brighter place and it will become brighter. Or disable the auto brightness in settings. Although I wouldn't recommend it. This is the way it should be, and it was a problem that your previous phone didn't do it too.

I did the same as you suggested. Didn't do anything at the time but decided to fix itself. It's strange though that it would adjust to the environment..darker surroundings should call for a brighter screen, not as dark as around me! It's fine now but as I indocated, it decided to stop whining on it's own..confused..hopefully it won't happen again. Thanks all!
