I have a Samsung fast QI charger. Does it work with the 950XL?

I currently have a Samsung S7 Edge and the charger is great. I tried it with my old 920 and it doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it should work. I had a Samsung Qi charger and used to charge my 950Xl with it. I just don't remember if it was a fast Qi charger. Good luck.

I think it will work, but it will probably charge normally. I think the "fast charge" via Wireless in this case is a Samsung specific feature.

Yes it work just fine.

I'm pretty sure the Qi 1.1 spec maxes out at 1.0A.
It's the 1.2 spec that allows the 3.0A "fast charge", but this requires a special receiver coil.

Conceivably, you could swap the 950/XL Qi case-back for one with a higher input coil, if the rest of the circuitry it connects to can handle it.

I have a 950 XL and three or 4 Samsung fast wireless chargers for a bunch of Note 5s and it charges them damn fast. The 950 XL charges on it but it is slow in comparison, probably just a normal rate of ~20-25%/hr

My Anker 2.4 charger did 40% in 45 minutes yesterday, pretty quick. That's with the stock cable, which I'm pretty sure is a 3.0A cable, given its build.

My phone drained itself to 8% last night though, from 86%, doing Account, and Start screen processing, both of which had 0% background (they're not set for background processing at all) use, yet they drained the battery, almost exclusively (I'll probably start a separate thread). This is the only time I've had such a dramatic drain, I've had some higher-drain experiences, but nothing like this, when it wasn't being used at all. Clearly the battery meter is really hosed in the AU build that's out there.
Oh yeah, and that was WITH battery-saver ON, hmm... ;-]

It works good on the Samsung charger

Absolutely, it works, but not 3A, or even close, I'd bet.
When I put an ammeter inline though, the most I see my 950XL drawing via Qi is about 1.1A, and that's coming form a 2.4A supply, verified. The charging plate I have is rated at 1.5, but the 950XL won't seem to draw that much via Qi.

Are you seeing a higher (measured) rate than this?
