About 1/3 of the keys on my keyboard have stopped working. Any ideas?

I usually use book with external screen, keyboard and mouse. In actual fact I don't move the book around much at all and it has never been dropped or similar.

Is this keyboard problem with your Surface Book or a Notebook PC?
Depending on which device this could be anything from random hardware failure to debris entering in under the keys.
