Android apps plagued with ads

I'm noticing since I been using Android how plagued the system scans your app list and advertise in certain apps. Especially in Facebook. Is this app or OS dependent?

Horrible. Hopefully WP will not be so saturated. CNN on Android is horrible with ads.

I can't remember, but Ad-away or ad-block plus block ads even in apps. It may even be an x-posed module. Can't remember, but I know I have seen it before.

Anyway there are tweaks to get rid of those if you want to; even in apps.
