I put in a bid for that same 2 lens kit on eBay earlier. I just won the auction at $260. Worth that just for the lenses, even without VR.

Not exactly throw away cash, but won't set me back much if I decide I want to step up. We'll see how the learning curve goes.

Hey, Your going to love having a good camera. I got a canon SLR a couple of years ago and never looked back. Its great fun.
