I'm on the new 1002. And my 950 is losing 5G Wifi band constantly...I can do a reset and it will be back, then after a while gone again

really frustrating...the 2.4G band seems to be stable though.

My Gadget app also stops functioning after the upgrade... no longer recognizing my accessories

Anyone had similar experience? considering to quit insider now

Are there many nearby devices that use 5G band Wifi, if so, this is a case of interference. You'll need to switch to less congested channel in 5G band by tweaking your router settings. Use wifi channel view utility in Nirsoft. Follow this link on HowTo change wifi channels

Nope. I have three routers at my house, all using the same wifi configuration so that my devices can roam when necessary. Nothing else, certainly not from my neighbors.

And I don't have this issue with previous builds... thanks for your suggestions though

I got also this kind of 5G Wifi problem...
After some time, the 950 (DS) completely loses wifi (2,4G and 5G) and can't find one anymore.
This only happens when connected to 5G, not 2,4G.
Sometimes it's after 5min... sometimes after 1-2 days.
Testing with fresh build (1004) at the moment (1002 didn't fix it).

5G wifi is super sensitive to interference. Your couch, or a table, or a wall (basically anything inbetween it and you) will all mess with it. Mine works fine, if I am in the same room and with a clear view of the router.

I have this problem since Lumia 830(only happen if running on certain W10M build not other ones, and never on WP8.1), it has come and go on Lumia 830 running insider build of W10M. but for lumia 950 it never got fixed so not really sure if it is firmware issue or software (OS build) issue though. I never have problem with my surface or tablet either.

I'm not really sure what have fixed mine, but since a soft reset plus system update (14267), 5G has being working perfectly for me. So the bug is definitely not an interference issue, at least not in my case

I don't think it is hardware issues, it definately something with software/frimware, because this was a issue for all phone in early w10 insider builds, including w10 PC version on surface before the release of W10 last year. And I am glad that they finally fixed that on lumia 950, but since the 14267 build has lots of other issues, i wuld wait til some more stable build comes out, which might be today, wishfully

Dude Ive had this issue since day one. Phone will randomly say "not available" for WIFI yet im at home and wifi is working. I have to reset the phone then itll find wifi networks and connect to them then randomly go back to "not available". Its extremely frustrating.
