Apps on SD card

I need switch SD cards but my current one has 4GB of app data. Do I need to move the apps back onto the phone and then swap cards or simply copy data from my old SD card to my new one?

Copying data from sd card via windows explorer may cause app issue...and corrupt data....its better move your apps to your phone when switching and for media such as video images music you can copy using windows explorer
