[Band] USB Device Not Recognized

My Band is also not recognized with new Windows 10 installation. I tried all the remedies suggested nothing works. Here is an extract of my chat with tech support:

Carla: Oh, I see. Thanks for trying it on your end. They have confirmed that some were able to run it with the Windows 10, some were not. We are collating such case right now to find if it has something related to the file which is not updated, yet to be worked on.
Carla: Right now, the supported OS version shown on the website is the Windows 7 Service Pack 1, and Windows 8.1
Carla: Kat - the previous support specialist has already reported this to the Advanced Team. They have confirmed that it is being work on and will continue to check and update Band and Windows 10 users for the release of the support version (Windows 10).

Mine isn't recognized on a Windows 8.1 Surface Pro 3, I get the same error message. Interesting that Carla said that Win 8.1 is a supported OS.

Clean the brass connections on the back of the watch of corrosion. They should have been gold but not so.

Cleaning didn't work for me, eventually I caved and tried a hard reset...now everything works again.

Once you put the Band Sync app on your puter you can Charge and sync with the charger cable to your puter and wi fi with phone. U will find things work so much better this way. U also have more personal options.

Can't find a solution, the fix does not work for me.
I have installed on machines that didn't have the band on before - Win7 and W8.1 and still get the same error.
Use the cable that came with the band and a new spare cable.

When it started I thought it was the contacts needed cleaning but now I see other people having the error and my contacts are clean so it must be something else - from what some people write it happened after an update like mine so I am hoping there is a fix at some point.
I'm having exactly the same problem. This is my second band.

Still can't get mine to be recognized, running Win 8.1 on a Surface Pro3. I've downloaded the sync app, no difference.

Usually I sync my band from my Lumia 1020, and charge it from a wall socket USB charger. The problem now is, I have upgraded my 1020 to the Win10 tech preview and the band only maintains the Bluetooth connection for a few seconds. The fix is to unregister, un-pair and factory reset the band. I want to sync the data on my band to my account before I factory reset. I thought it would be easy, simply use the PC sync app, but like many, I cannot get the PC to recognise the band.

I will post a fix if I find one. Very frustrating.diff capture.PNG

I was unable to get it to work in Windows 7/64. So I grabbed a Windows 10 preview machine. It could a couple of attempts and cleaning of the band's port - but it worked.

after you do a factory reset you must re register with Microsoft to prove you own the band then the program will open up and you can pair. Microsoft will demand you give them the correct band data your band came with on its box.

That might be true if you've done a factory reset.

My phone died. I was successful in getting it to work with my PC while waiting for a replacement, then paired it with my replacement phone - all without resetting the band.

Clean the connections at the back of the Band with Isopropyl alcohol and retry, you may need to clean the corrosion off it if there are black bars.

Cannot get it to work on Win 10 Pro. Had a Band Support rep tell me to take the device to my local Microsoft Store for replacement. This will be my third....hopefully they do replace it. If not I'll just use the phone app.

I had this with my last band so when it broke they sent me a new one and guess what......yep it wont connect, it charges and syncs to my phone but the pc sync will just not work.
so im guessing its a driver issue can anyone identifi what dll sync installs so i can delete them and try again ??
cheers
