I just don't get how you guys get 2 days use. Every time I charge my phone and take it off the charger at 100% it says on average 18hrs left on stand by. Every time. Is my battery faulty?

No. Your battery status simply tell you the expected duration based on your past usage. Take it with a pinch of salt though.

There is no need to shut down your phone too. Doing so actually consumes more power.

I really wonder why you guys have longer battery lives than mine, same phones. I own 1520 and 830, reviewers said 1520 lasts about 3 days regular use, with 830 on about a day and a half. Mine only does 10-12 hours and 7-8 hours respectively.

I have a few hunch on why:

• • because I live in the Philippines, it's freaky hot in here..might this cause the huge battery drain?
  • We have poor signals here. Constantly changing mobile data signals between E, H, H+ and 4G, depends on location..but battery drains faster when travelling due to that, i guess

Yes I don't get how they get so much life out of it. Under 18 hours of average use.

Its right there...'regular use'. We don't pick our phones up every 2 minutes. Believe it or not, most people aren't glued to their screen 24/7. I average about 30 mins of calls and probably 90-120 mins of mixed browsing over the course of a day and that usually burns about 30% of my battery. Most battery tests and reviews are based on perceived average usage not heavy users. If that's you you should check out the reviews and tests that focus purely on 'on screen' time. The other huge factor is signal strength which can play a huge part as well as ambient heat (prolonged ambient temperatures over 35c can seriously damage battery performance). Yes, I am one of those happy band who only charges their phone every 2-3 days. We're not lying or exaggerating, we just have other things in our lives the 1520 has excellent battery stamina, its right up there in all the tests I've read. If you are only ekeing a few hours from it you are a heavy user and would struggle with anything because simply put there isnt much out there that can better this models stamina.
